Smoke (and cake) Inhalation

It’s birthday week, here. Child #1 turned 14 Monday, and Child #2 turns 11 today. Needless to say, time has been in much shorter supply than sugar and open flames.
So happy birthday, munchkins. You’re my red m&ms. Just candy to some people, but my favorite — beautiful and bright, and filled with life’s good stuff.

Release Day

It’s release day again at Lyrical, and this time around, we’ve got more good stuff on deck.

I start, of course, with Miss Aubrey’s Imperfection. You probably already know this, but I loves me some Aubs. The People You Know, The Sex They Have was easily the best-written erotic romance collection I’ve ever read, and when Romantic Times [...]

Things I Learned This Weekend

I’m doing this a day early because it’s release day tomorrow. Big post, and I’m even giving away an ebook tomorrow.
Anyway, here’s the list:

I learned that I never get attached to a new TV series until the heroine has her hair foiled. You’ll note, of course, that what’s-her-name from Castle is still streak-free.
I learned the [...]

Proof of Life

I felt like giving myself a little reward today, and here it is! Isn’t it made of teh awesome?
I’d like to thank my kids, for having so much homework. I’d also like to thank the production system overhaul for frying my braincell and making me everything I am today.
Then there’s the need for sleep. It’s [...]

Chuckle At Own Risk

New rule:
The words chuckle, grin and nod (or any conjugation thereof) may not be used more than once per book. Less than once, if possible.
Why, you ask? Well, writers, please open your ms file and use the find feature to show how many times you’ve used those words. Add them up to get the actual [...]

March Releases

While I was busy this morning trying to figure out how it got to be March already, LPI has gone and released more books on me…
March 2nd Releases

First up is Dara England’s Brought to Life. This one’s a paranormal romance and sort of reminded me of Kate and Leopold, only less…Hollywood-ized. It’s a light and fun [...]
